Job Description:

TSR is seeking to employ a few Mechanical Engineers to perform engineering calculations, writing specifications, scope of work, sizing equipment, and designing. These are contract positions with one of the country's largest EPC firms. The position will offer a hybrid schedule with the office based in Newark, DE.

Responsibilities

  • May also include the design, specification, selection, and supplier coordination of mechanical systems typically found in a refinery or chemical plant.
  • Mechanical equipment may include heat exchangers, pressure vessels, conveying equipment, hoppers/bins and silos, and rotating equipment.
  • Will work with the team to help develop and prepare cost estimates, specifications, project schedules, and production design deliverables.
  • Ensure the completed design is functional, maintainable, and designed with safety, and that all applicable codes have been followed.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of mechanical engineering experience for Jr. Engineering positions and 15+ years of experience for the Senior and Lead Mechanical positions.
  • EPC experience in Refinery or chemical industrial industry is preferred but will also consider OEM experience and operations/maintenance experience with right candidate.
  • Fundamental understanding of industry design codes and standards and interdisciplinary design coordination is essential.
  • detailed production engineering and construction feasibility.
  • Must have a solid commitment to safety in design and safety in practice.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • PE License is preferred, but not mandatory.
