Job Description:

DCS Corp is seeking a dynamic, team oriented, energetic, and customer focused Mechanical Engineer to help support our Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) customers located at the U.S. Army's Warren, MI location. This opportunity would have the candidate working out of DCS's Sterling Heights location alongside a team of Project Leads, Engineers, and Technicians, to lead the mechanical design efforts supporting GVSC's Robotics, Mobility, Survivability, and Immersive Simulation groups.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide mechanical engineering support to our GVSC customers and engage directly throughout duration of project execution.

Lead the mechanical design efforts for component and system level prototype solutions, which include packaging electronic enclosures, ground vehicle integration efforts, crew station designs, and system integration lab developments.

Conduct design review meetings and provide status updates to project managers.

Develop mechanical drawing data packages and assembly documentation.

Create and issue work orders and purchase requisitions.

Work collaboratively with a cross functional team throughout design and documentation phases.

Provide leadership support and technical guidance with assembly and integration efforts.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain Secret government clearance.

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of CAD experience developing part and assembly level designs.

Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to work with a cross-functional team.

Desired Skills:

Solidworks CAD experience preferred.

Project management skills.

CAE and CAM experience.

Experience working with machine shops to fabricate custom components.

Knowledge in robotics and electro-mechanical systems.

Experience using overhead cranes, forklifts, and machine shop equipment with a willingness to get hands-on.
