About The Team:

Noah Medical's Research and Development (R&D) Team is responsible for the development of endoluminal medical device solutions that are safe, effective, and on-time. Noah Medical R&D team members have the traditional role of design and prototyping but also take the lead on design requirements, specifications, design risk assessment, test methods, verification testing and more. A Day In The Life Of Our Principal R&D Mechanical Engineer, Capital:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for a key subsystem of the capital equipment team to develop safe and effective medical devices
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to propose viable technical solutions and make decisions
  • Plan, organize, and present project deliverables according to project scope and timeline and ensure technical contributions are delivered on time
  • Mentor other engineers
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors, identify scopes of work, and manage inputs and outputs.
  • Participate in developing the budget for the specific area of responsibility
  • Lead the resolution of technical issues where root cause analysis requires in-depth evaluations from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
  • Conduct tolerance analysis to ensure design robustness
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact the overall product design and performance
  • Generate and review technical documentation including design-controlled specifications, requirements, protocols, etc.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with departmental procedures relating to design control processes, quality systems and regulations, and good documentation practices

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience as an individual contributor in the area of technical leadership, including at least 6 years of medical device capital equipment experience
  • Experienced in the product development process of medical device capital systems
  • Proficient in using Solidworks for design of components and creating complex assemblies and detailed drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead self and others in the execution of technical projects
  • Proactive planning and consistent follow up behaviors
  • Proficient in specifying actuators and actuator components, and packaging into multi-DOF assemblies
