Sr. Electrical Engineer

Location: Lafayette, CO

Job ID:

Pay Range: $55-64

The Electrical Engineer Senior will engage in a broad range of electrical engineering activities as a member of a diverse, technical team working to design the next generation of satellite technologies & components.

Required Skill Sets:
BS degree, or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
7+ years of electrical engineering design experience with a BSEE, 5+ years of experience (with an MSEE) or
Strong ability to communicate with other team members, engineering leaders, and internal/external customers through written and verbal means.
Experience using Altium Design (or equivalent) for schematic capture or PCB layout
Experience with digital, analog, and mixed signal electronics technologies. Examples include power conversion electronics, digital processing (SoC &FPGA) communication interfaces (RS422/RS232, SPI, I2C), analog signal conversion and sampling
Experience designing for harsh or mission critical environments including one of aerospace, space, automotive, or medical industries
Experience designing to industry standards (such as EMI/EMC) MIL-STD-461 or NASA GEVS GSFC-STD-7000

Desired Skill Sets:
Design circuit card assemblies (perform schematic capture & circuit analysis PCB layout design or design) for complex space grade electronics products
Use a variety of EDA tools to analyze and simulate electronics designs. Some of the common tools we use are Altium Designer, LTSpice, Siemens HyperLynx SI/PI
Work in a fast-paced team environment on both R&D and production projects. Complete tasks with evolving requirements. Demonstrate strong ownership of the design process and an ability to work primarily independently.
Test hardware in a laboratory environment with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Flight Software & FPGA, program management teams and other specialized teams as needed to develop highest quality, reliable hardware for our customers.

Years of Experience Required (if any): 7 or more

Education Level Required: BS or higher
