AECOM Water is seeking an early career Electrical Engineer I to join our growing Orlando, FL office. This role will support design efforts for a variety of water infrastructure projects including treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance.

The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:

The Electrical Engineer position will involve design of low voltage and medium voltage electrical power distribution systems for heavy industrial water/wastewater applications, as well as, traditional building services.

This is a hybrid working environment.

Perform electrical system designs including:

Switchgears

Switchboards

Motor control centers

Variable frequency drives

Generators

Transformers

Distribution panels, and

Other electrical power distribution systems components

Perform design for lighting, fire alarm, telephone, security and grounding systems

Prepare design drawings including single line diagrams, electrical plans, wiring schematics, schedules, etc.

Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, harmonics, voltage drop, lighting, short circuit, coordination and arc flash)

Review and coordinate instrumentation, control system process P&IDs, mechanical and HVAC systems and design its related electrical systems.

Support the development of electrical equipment specifications

Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices.

Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed
