Job Description:

As an Environmental Technician III, you will play a crucial role in environmental monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting to support environmental conservation and compliance efforts. You will work under the direction of environmental scientists or engineers to execute various tasks related to environmental assessments, remediation projects, and regulatory compliance.

Overall, the Environmental Technician III role requires a combination of technical expertise, fieldwork experience, and regulatory knowledge to support environmental initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Duties:

- Provides operational and administrative support within the Environmental function.

- Assists in administering policies and procedures in support of the Company's environmental strategies, including but not limited to waste management, pollution prevention, waste minimization, permitting assistance, hazardous materials compliance, UST/AST compliance, air and water compliance issues, aspects of environmental management systems, and assistance with other environmental tasks.

- Perform activities to support solid and hazardous waste management, soil/air/water sampling, spill response, pollution control, equipment maintenance, waste minimization and related operations.

- Support training and audit activities that ensure regulatory compliance.

- Assist in preparing reports or presentations as assigned.

- Assist in HAZMAT response or other fieldwork.

- Performs administrative or clerical support as required.

- May be required to provide data to automated information systems (AIS).

- Performs duties in accordance with TM 3-34.56/MCIP 4-11.01.

Requirements

Position requires 40 Hr Hazardous Waste Operations (Hazwoper) certification and ability to maintain annual recertification.

Requires technical skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Minimum of three (3) years related experience

Technical (2-year) degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
