Adecco is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a local client in Erie, PA. Apply now for instant consideration!
Responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer position include:
•Conceptualizing and creating mechanical designs according to customer and regulatory standards
•Evaluating and securing patents per company policy
•Investigating state of the art technology
•Responsible for technical data (BOM, drawings, routers, etc.) and their functionality in the MRP system
•Managing the technical design of the product
•Building mock-ups when necessary and being responsible for prototype realization
•Ensuring the technical design complies with standard design guidelines
•Managing design issues and process validation and ensuring the product reaches the commercialization phase
•Performing risk analysis
•Investigating customer complaints, determining nature and extent of problems and recommending remedial measures
•Recommending corrective and preventative actions
•Submitting deviation requests when necessary
•Monitoring, investigating and testing products
•Participating with the selection of suppliers
•Organizing design reviews
•Preparing budgets
•Managing design activities within the budget
•Managing the time schedule of activities and ensuring it is compliant with the project schedule
•Maintaining and improving CAD skills
•Performing all work in compliance of standards, procedures and regulatory requirements
•Other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and five years' experience in an ISO-centered production environment (medical equipment preferred).
•Proven record of designing mechanical products.
•Proficient in Solid Works for the creation of product drawings and Bills of Material.
•High degree of problem solving and teamwork skills.
•Ability to use all standard office equipment, including computer, copier, fax, and scanner.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Pay Details: $33.50 per hour
