HotFoot Recruiters is excited to partner with a sheet metal manufacturing company in the north Phoenix area.

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire
Location: On-Site, Deer Valley 85027
Work Hours: 8AM-5PM (12pm-1pm break)
Pay Range: DOE

Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in sheet metal fabrication, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality sheet metal components and assemblies

  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop sheet metal components and assemblies according to project specifications and requirements. Utilize CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD) to create detailed engineering drawings.
  • Material Selection and Procurement: Evaluate material properties and select appropriate sheet metal materials based on mechanical, thermal, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Manufacturing Process Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, forming, welding, and finishing operations. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and structural integrity of sheet metal components.
  • Tooling and Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to maintain and troubleshoot sheet metal fabrication equipment, including CNC machines, press brakes, laser cutters, and welding systems.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Compliance and Safety.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field., Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for 2D and 3D modeling, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
