Responsibilities / Tasks

The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the product process.

Will be traveling 75% of the time in North America, need a valid passport, prefer ability to travel to Canada.

  • Evaluate and improve on processes for GEA Dairy Application Market.
  • Ability to read/interpret P.I.D's
  • Complete understanding of control systems for GEA equipment
  • Ability to upload and download to PLC's and make code corrections as needed
  • Ability to work in multiple GEA markets
  • Maintain reliable and safe separation equipment while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields,
  • Assist Senior Process/Sales Engineers in developing innovative solutions
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
  • Prepare samples for study
  • Collect, record, and transcribe data
  • Show results in reports
  • Maintain testing equipment
  • Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process
  • Provide suggestions during incident investigations
  • Advise on corrective actions
  • Trains customers on proper use of GEA equipment
  • Trains subordinates
  • Work with Project Engineering to develop a cost-effective and working production process
  • Rockwell, Ladder Logic programming helpful

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical Engineering preferred, other disciplines will be considered
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years process experience
