The Manufacturing/Process Engineering I for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will be responsible for supporting Diagnostic or Life Science products by ensuring that products are efficiently manufactured while meeting quality standards and cost targets. Additional tasks include but are not limited to driving continuous improvement to product quality, cost reduction, productivity improvement, and on-time delivery to our customers.

This position is part of the Manufacturing Operations located in Miami, FL and will be fully on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Manufacturing Technical Operations team and report to the Manager of Technical Operations responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing of diagnostic medical devices. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Troubleshooting and providing support for day-to-day manufacturing issues and optimize existing manufacturing processes
  • Developing and maintaining clear and effective manufacturing process instructions
  • Leading and participating in Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement
  • Addressing nonconformance and scrap issues to ensure product quality
  • Leading daily management meetings on the production line and ensuring smooth operations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Experience in updating and creating work instructions aligned with engineering change orders.
  • Technical writing skills to produce clear and comprehensive procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze collected data to extract valuable insights and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and SolidWorks software
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering, with 0+ years of relevant experience

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Regulated Industries (e.g. FDA, ISO)
