Career Transitions is currently recruiting for a Field Geologist for a client based close to St. Charles, IL. This organization is a full-service environmental consulting firm specializing in a variety of services designed to reduce liabilities associated with environmental issues.

Namely, this role will be instrumental in conducting field studies for real estate due diligence, Phase II environmental site assessment, environmental cleanup, and vapor intrusion studies.

Field Geologist Specific Responsibilities:

• This position will be responsible for fieldwork, data collection, data evaluation and report preparation.


• Ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently with field work and report writing.


• Successful candidate must have strong organizational and time management skills, self-motivated with a dedicated work ethic.

Field Geologist Requirements:

• Bachelors degree, (ie. Geology, Geography, Environment Science and Chemistry) with at least 1 year of applicable experience.


• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.


• Able to adapt as a result of workloads and/or deadlines. Other attributes include:
  
  
  
  • Travel daily within the state as needed.
  
  
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative to perform various assignments, work well under time constraints, and able to work independently.
