Electrical Engineer -Manage EV/Hybrid Test Cells

Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We have a role for an experienced hybrid/EV test cell automation engineer to improve the efficiency and safety of EV and Hybrid testing across several test cells/programs.

What you will be doing:

Review and approve customer plans (design of system cabling, JBs, work plans)

Lead capability improvement projects to various types of test cells.

Lead projects based on customer need.

Troubleshoot different equipment as needed.

Drive best design practices for test cell EV/Hybrid work with various platform teams.

Validate EV Hybrid Test Cell Operations, Data Collection and Data Quality

Ensure that Engineers and Technicians working in the space are trained, authorized, and qualified to do the work.

Ensure that Technicians have proper tools / processes / training / and test equipment for working on respective equipment ( Testing, troubleshooting, designing and installing various equipment)

Develop limits within the test system to protect equipment and test article.

Work with stock rooms to ensure the common consumable electrification hardware is stocked.

Setting standards for best design practices including but not limited to Electrical Control Drawings, Operation of Equipment, Technician Work Etc.

Improve the efficiency and safety of EV and Hybrid testing across several test cells/programs.

Lead common design process for:

DC HV Junctions Boxes / Interfaces to the cell

Create, edit, and approve engineering drawings as needed.

Power Analyzer Topology (under type and placement of transducers)

What you'll need to be successful:

Essential:

College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or other relevant technical disciplines.

Prefer experience with DC High Voltage System and EV / Hybrid vehicle system.

Understanding of electrical control systems and drawings is appreciated.

Must be comfortable in taking the lead.

Understanding of electrical machines/ transformers is a plus.

3 -5 years of experience

Humble, teachable, and who solve their own problems.

Effective and collaborative team player.

Good communicator - written and verbal.

MS office suite solid knowledge is required.

Great collaborator

Preferred:

Product Safety and Compliance experience

Experience with EV/ Hybrid/ Engine powertrains.
