Job Details

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in designing mechanical and plumbing building systems and details, as well as overseeing performance of Mechanical designers, draftsman, and assistants as required/needed by projects assigned. This position also may necessitate business development strategizing and experience. Thorough understanding of the design and coordination required by other disciplines/construction is essential.

The successful candidate has 8+ years of experience as a licensed professional (PE), proven ability to conduct field investigations and site visits, perform submittal reviews, and coordinate with other disciplines to create cohesive construction documents. They should have expert-level knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 181.1, ASHRAE 170, ASHRAE 62.1, NFPA 90A, and International Building Codes.

The Mechanical Engineer has a role in mentoring and directing the activities of designers, participating in review meetings with clients, and documenting existing conditions.

Computer skills: Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Trane Trace, Masterworks and/or SpecsIntact, Costworks and/or RSMeans Online, and MS Office Suite.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited Engineering Program, NCEES Registration, PE License, Certified Plumbing Designer (Preferred), Certified Energy Manager (Preferred), LEED, Green Globes, or other sustainability metric (Preferred), Healthcare Facility Design Professional Certification (Preferred), High-Performance Building Design Professional Certification (Preferred)

Travel: up to 20% depending on the project
