We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Electrical Engineer with a focus on building systems. This is a permanent position in our dynamic, fast-paced Engineering firm, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supervising electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally and make a significant impact within our organization.

Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Design and develop electrical systems for various types of buildings, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and energy-efficient.
2. Use advanced software such as AutoCAD 3D, Revit, and CAD Drafting to create detailed electrical designs and plans.
3. Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other professionals to integrate electrical systems into overall building design.
4. Conduct detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
5. Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
6. Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, ensuring adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
7. Ensure all designs and installations conform to the latest Electrical NEC codes.
8. Prepare and present technical reports explaining plans, specifications, and contract documents to managers and clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in power system design and electrical engineering for buildings.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, Revit, and CAD Drafting.
4. Thorough knowledge of Electrical NEC and the ability to apply this knowledge to work.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
7. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
