Job Details

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, document and release to production high quality power conversion and control systems.

Use customer specifications to design, test and release to production aerospace products.

Direct laboratory technicians and PWB layout specialist in the development, verification and test of new product designs.

Report schedule and technical status on a regular basis and participate in program reviews internally and with the customers; be able to manage multiple projects.

Accountability for project technical content, from development through product launch, as well as project adherence to budget and schedule milestones/requirements.

Effective use of development tools, test and integration equipment during development process.

Participate in the equipment certification process by performing and documenting technical analysis, test procedures and reports.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters preferred.

Five years relevant work experience responsible for design analysis and development of analog power supply, power conversion and battery conditioning products for 12 to 600Vac/Vdc systems.

Project Engineer experience in analog circuit design, analysis, product development and launch.

Broad understanding of advanced analog and digital design techniques.

Familiar with FARs and equipment certifications: i.e. DO-160, MIL STD-461, MIL STD-810

Demonstrated ability to influence others and impact change.

Must be well organized and be able to develop vendor relations and manage outside test vendors.

Excellent analytical, design, time management, written, communication and documentation skills

Experience using of MS Office, Project, Power Point.

Use of AutoCAD, Altium/ORCAD Capture.

Experience in product development in commercial or aerospace and design-to-cost environment.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
