Job Description:

In this professional position, associate will be a team member of the Process and Quality Control Department for manufacturing of synthetic fiber, manufacturing both Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) and Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) and in monitoring and optimizing process parameters, along with new product development.

Will be responsible for:

• Supervising laboratory/process Technicians and training them in every aspect regarding the process and lab equipment;

• Quality Control of POY and FDY products using Statistical Quality Control techniques;

• Controlling and establishing drying, extrusion, quenching and winding specifications;

• Developing new products required as per customer product specifications;

• Designing process and quality standards for products to exceed customer expectations;

• Analyzing customer complaints and taking remedial measures;

• Coordinating with maintenance department for improving process and quality control.

Position Responsibilities:

Evaluate, implement, and monitor processes and operating systems for the manufacture of fiber products.

Optimize productivity by designing and testing new processes or procedures.

Proactively work with business SMEs to understand and document business requirements and conceptualize the methods and techniques for process manufacturing.

Track metrics to discover areas for improvement.

Troubleshoot problems associated with the manufacturing processes.

Assist in the development of project plans and capital projects to meet business needs.

Utilize data analysis and process modeling/mapping to document current and projected production requirements.

Work with production, sales, and quality teams to execute product trials.

Lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.

Oversee the maintenance department; ensuring equipment is working properly, routine maintenance is performed and tracked, and appropriate tools, systems, and processes are in place.

Requirements

PROCESS ENGINEER

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

Impeccable math and statistical analysis skills

Strong interpersonal and communication / presentation skills

Demonstrated record of being a self-starter with a bias for action
