The Position
Serves as site responsible electrical engineer & owner of the site electrical system. Support the maintenance, operation, & improvement of all site electrical systems. Develop & maintain site electrical standards including operating procedures, single lines, panel schedules, & all other relevant documentation for compliance with standards, national codes & industry best engineering & safety practices. Lead & manage site or area electrical system improvement & expansion projects. Serve as SME (subject matter expert) on the site electrical distribution, power monitoring, & back up generation systems.
Essential Functions
Evaluates electrical system designs & installations, products, components, capabilities, suitability & applications
Manages & executes electrical system distribution, maintenance, upgrades, modifications, & improvement projects
Evaluates completed installations & observes operation to ensure conformance to design & equipment specifications & compliance with operational & safety standards
Identify & manages service contracts for electrical system & other related equipment service contracts
Maintains product & company reputation by complying with federal & state regulations
Identify & support required EHS & regulatory safety training requirements & leads efforts to ensure compliance
Maintain the Arc Flash/Selective Coordination/Load Flow Studies software
Conducts system or equipment walk downs with respect to electrical design & installation
Ensures identification of & collaboration regarding interfaces to other processes & support systems
Participates in design work shops with engineering suppliers for any future projects
Create, develop, & maintain system SOPs, maintenance plans, training plans, electrical diagrams, single lines, or other related electrical system documentation
Facilitate knowledge transfer from projects to facilities & operations where applicable
Maintains SME status by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies

Physical Requirements
Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. May perform critical job functions in extremely cold work environments depending on site. May position oneself within confined spaces for inspection if required of the role. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. May be required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle based on the role.
Qualifications
Education:
BA/BS degree in electrical engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of experience & education required
Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as electrical engineer in the fields of power generation, distribution, or manufacturing required
Acknowledged Subject Matter Expert in Power Distribution Systems, & Electrical Systems Design required
Strong knowledge of U.S. Electrical Codes, Standards, Construction Methods & Laws required
Expertise in performing electrical system design & engineering calculations required
Proven ability to establish & maintain networks preferred
Facilitate processes that encourage cross organizational knowledge sharing preferred
