ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's Hauppauge, NY office is seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to support our growing transportation practice.

Responsibilities

Working within a team of professionals in developing traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions for a multitude of transportation projects

Traffic impact studies

Producing and delivering transportation projects from study through the construction administration phase

Pre-design project planning

Skills and Attributes

Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Traffic signal design and maintenance and protection of traffic

Open Roads and/or Civil3D

Stormwater analysis

Final Design Plan Development

Qualifications

0-1 years of professional experience, preferably related to traffic engineering

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

EIT preferred

Hiring Salary Range - $74,000 - $78,000. However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
