Job Description:

Olive Recruiting is looking for an Electrical Engineer for our Oil and Gas Fabrication client in Houston, TX. Primary responsibility is to design, develop and maintain electrical systems and parts for internal company and clients/projects.

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed cable, cable tray & conduit sizing calculations, motor performance analysis & calculations in conformance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Perform analysis and calculations for the project related electrical installations based on the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Inspecting third party Low Voltage Switchgear & Control Panels to ensure conformance to the actual design layout and equipment specifications as well as ensure compliance with the operational and the safety standards

Assisting in developing budgets and estimating material and construction costs of the electrical and tubing items required for the project fabrication

Assisting in the preparation of the purchase requisitions for the purchase of materials and electrical & tubing items as per the project requirements

Prepare and Markup Electrical Drawings

Prepare Engineering documents such as Meggar, Point to Point, FAT & SAT procedures, Datasheets, Power Consumption list, Cable Schedule, Cause & Effect Diagram, I/O List, MODBUS address list as per project requirements

Ensure all Electrical instruments required for the FAT & SAT tests have valid calibration and maintain their records.

Participates in periodic project reviews and client discussions as required

Qualifications:

Professional experience working as an electrical engineer

Experience supporting manufacturing environments preferred

Desired experience supporting Oil and Gas Pipeline equipment (not required)

Ability to communicate and interface frequently with project managers, engineers, and other managers

Excellent time management and task prioritization

Ability to exercise good judgement and effectiveness in a high performing technical team

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Strong ability to prepare, read, interpret, and analyze documents

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
