Overview:
This role reports to the Space Systems Engineering functional leadership for Power Solutions Division, and is an electronics engineer within the Space Systems engineering team.

Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork collaboratively with manufacturing engineering to assure that design-for-manufacturing and design-for-reliability principles are consistently applied to all development programs

Experience in the design of switch mode power supplies

Ability to evaluate SWaP-C tradeoffs

Perform Circuit, worst-case and thermal analyses

Understanding of EMI/EMC filter design

Familiarity with military standards; MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-981, MIL-PRF-27, MIL-STD-38534/5, etc.

Understanding of magnetic materials

Design and evaluation of magnetic components; transformer and inductor

Actively participate in design reviews and evaluation of power electronic circuit designs

Pursue and evaluate new technologies for power electronics

Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including product development team support as appropriate

Must work onsite within the facility

Works in an environment where continuous improvement methods are utilized to design, ensure manufacturability, and maintain a high level of quality in our products and according to customer specifications and expectations

Manages a workload with many constantly changing variables such that the business plan is not affected

Qualifications:
HOW TO SUCCEED To join us you'll need: MINIMUM:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

PREFERRED:

3+ years of experience in the design and a development of power electronic devices is preferred; designing for military and aerospace environmental compliance (Electrical Input Power, Thermal Limits, Mechanical Shock and Vibration)

Master of Science degree

Possessed of a working knowledge of radiation effects in semiconductor devices; understand how radiation effects impact product performance and ensure design implementation achieves mission requirements

Ability to lead and drive high performance engineering programs with a strong focus on program execution and rigor, customer satisfaction, and speed to market

Strong technical skills and ability to work within cross-functional product development teams; strong integrity, honesty and trust; ability to act with energy, passion and responsibility; ability to collaborate to leverage and align multiple elements of the business; ability to maintain confidentiality

Salary Range: $81,364.00 - $95,400.00 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate
