Overview:
Kimley-Horn's Pleasanton office is seeking a Transportation Planner/Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Transportation Planning team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will work with our Multi-Modal Transportation team leading and performing a variety of transportation-related tasks including traffic impact studies, transportation analyses and design, VMT analysis, parking studies, safety studies and other various transportation and traffic related tasks.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Transportation, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering

Registered P.E. or T.E. in the state of CA (or the interest and ability to obtain)

At least 4 years of directly related experience

Experience preparing traffic impact studies, multi-modal planning, TDM programs, traffic signal and lighting operations, site circulation and access studies, and other various transportation planning and design activities.

Experience in vehicle and bicycle parking planning including parking demand studies, shared parking analysis, at-grade and structured parking layouts, exterior and interior bike parking.

Experience working with various clients including private developers and municipalities desired.

Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring a team of staff members.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals.

Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, Vistro, VISSIM, AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software

Strong written and oral communication skills

Salary Range: $100,000 to $135,000
