Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team, focusing on providing critical electrical/electronics engineering support for military ground vehicle production. As a key member of the Vetronics Integrated Product Team, you will be responsible for responding to production requests promptly and effectively. Your role will encompass resolving problem reports, addressing vendor inquiries, supporting vehicle assembly, troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems, assisting in vehicle test verification, developing root cause analyses, and optimizing technical data packages in collaboration with the design engineering team.

Skills Required:

Experience in military ground vehicle wiring harness and cabling design

Proficiency in electrical/electronic systems of military ground vehicles

Familiarity with Visio Technical, CREO, Pro-E, Pro-Cable, and/or CADDS 5

Ability to develop system, subsystem, and component specifications and verify them

Knowledge of low voltage (28Vdc) power distribution and management (Solid State Power Controller/Programmable Power Controller)

Experience in vehicle signal management (Sensor/Transducer Input/Output signal management)

Understanding of video display technology

Familiarity with military electrical connectors and cabling specifications

Proficiency in SAEJ1939 CANBus, Mil-Std - 1553, 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet Protocols

Integration experience with military communication/antenna systems including BFT, SINCGARS, DAGR, CREW2

Ability to make responsible technical decisions affecting project completion

Specification and design of components based on requirements, with validation through modeling, simulation, analysis, or testing

Preparation of engineering documentation such as specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), design documents, and technical/test reports

Capability to estimate costs and develop schedules for electrical design projects

Experience in preparing Change Notices, Engineering Change Proposals, and Engineering Orders as necessary

Monitoring of procurement, manufacturing, and delivery of components to ensure schedule adherence

Ability to guide drafters and designers in creating comprehensive technical documents

Regular reporting of project status to supervisors, project engineers, and customers

Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.

Experience Required:

Minimum of four (4) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or two (2) years of experience with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
