This is an onsite position located at: 3600 Discovery Drive, Chester, VA 23836

The Electrical Engineer is an individual contributor and will work closely with electricians, E&I Specialists, and Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. Other responsibilities include working on plant issues and process improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

Assist in day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of control and electrical equipment.

Develop, maintain and execute safety, improvement and obsolescence plans for control and electrical equipment.

Manages and executes electrical and controls projects.

Provides electrical engineering representation for engineering and capital work.

Provides engineering support prior to and during maintenance outages.

Manages E/I technician training program.

Provide input and evaluation of E&I new hires.

Assists in support and development of site utilities.

Gatekeeper for maintenance MOC process as applicable to electrical and control systems.

Accountable for understanding OSHA, PSM and electrical code standards for control/electrical equipment and translating them into site procedures.

Accountable for demonstrating site and business core values of SHE, quality, people treatment, and ethics.

Qualifications:
Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of industrial Electrical Engineering experience

Experience around electrical controls - automation.

Understand different DCS systems. Old Reliance DCS,

Experience working on and leading maintenance activities for medium/high voltage power distribution equipment.

Advanced understanding of automation and control systems to include Reliance DCS, Wonderware, Honeywell Experion, ControlLogix, etc.

Advanced understanding of AC and DC drives.

Demonstrated ability to lead and execute capital projects.

Proficiency with AutoCAD or other drafting software

Highly Preferred:

Five to ten (5-10) years or more of industrial electrical engineering experience.

Electrical engineering / automation experience in manufacturing / industrial environments.

Knowledge and experience working with vintage, obsolete DCS systems

The typical schedule is Monday - Friday, days.

The Electrical Engineer will be on-call approximately every 6th weekend.
