Electrical Engineer IV

Research team is working on building futuristic prototypes to show the potential of AR/VR devices and how its interact and improve the society. We need an electrical engineer to help us building the future, realizing the concepts, and providing the vision of the devices.

-5+ years Electrical Engineering background with FPGA experience,

-Firmware development experience specific for display product.

-Display panel bring up experience.

-Must have for FPGA: need to know how to code Verilog (will consider candidates who know how to code C but Verilog is preferred)

-PCB board design and bring up

- Electrical Engineering design verification and validation

- Electrical Engineering single simulation capability

Duration: 12-24 months

Will travel to Redmond, WA 2-3 times/year

Optics & Display Research group, Display Integration team.

Summary:

The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.

• Review and approve the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.

• Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.

• Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.

• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Supervise the design, fabrication, and testing of the manufacture of electrical components and boards, and electrical system bring-up.

Responsible for Electrical design including schematic and CAD layout drawing, PCB design, driving circuit design

• Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

• Firmware development experience specific for display product

• Display panel bring up experience
