Overview:
We have a challenging and highly rewarding opportunity for a motivated Electrical Engineer to help grow our expanding MEP team in our Tampa office.

Responsibilities:
This position provides an opportunity to work on a variety of building, aviation, transportation, and mission-critical projects that will ensure your success and growth in your career. Additionally, you will contribute to the design of major projects from various markets locally and around the country.

Design of electrical systems including low and medium voltage power distribution, stand-by generation, interior/exterior lighting for buildings, local area IT networks, access control, security, and fire alarm systems

Participate on project teams in an active production role

Preparation of project specifications

Preparation of electrical construction cost estimates

Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines

Coordination and verification of as-built drawings

Perform quality work that promotes client retention

Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical floor plans, equipment schematic diagrams, equipment block diagrams, equipment load calculations, and connection diagrams

Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in electrical engineering

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus)

Professional Engineer license preferred

Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes

Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)

Building Information Modeling (BIM - Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus

Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design experience

Superior verbal and written communication skills

The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively

The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
