The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving our client's production processes by observing, improving, and implementing manufacturing methods. This role is for someone that is looking to be hands-on, can work well in independent and team settings, and is open to learning various manufacturing processes. This role will work in tandem with the Quality, Sales, and machine operator teams.

Description
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to the company's production processes.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and implementing metrics to measure production performances as it relates to quality, throughput, and on time performances.
- Collect, analyze, summarize and present production and process data, information and trends to management.
- Review customer specifications to direct Quality, Sales, and plant personnel
- Document current production procedures and create company standards to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the production department.
- Utilize various lean six sigma problem solving skills to accurately perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production regarding tooling life and design to ensure effectual production methods.
- Estimate labor requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions. Drive continuous improvement in labor costs through waste reduction, production efficient, and operations improvement.
- Assist in the investigation and corrective actions of rejected materials
Profile
- Technical degree required
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing engineering or other relevant field
- Experience writing work instructions and doing Root Cause Analysis
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Self starter attitude, eager to learn new processes and develop professionally
- Metallurgical experience is a plus
Job Offer
- Base salary $70,000-$90,000 based on level of experience
