Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team.

About the role

  • Working across the full lifecycle of projects from scoping studies through to execution of EPC and EPCM.
  • Ability to deliver mechanical technical solutions in accordance with project scope, time-frames and best practice standards.
  • Prepare technical reports related to the design.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
  • Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion in the project-specific execution plan.
  • Be a key contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
  • Manage and review the Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time-based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and taking corrective action if necessary.
  • Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.).
  • Assist in the preparation and development of project-specific procedures.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants.
  • Proven success in an EPCM environment.
  • Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills.
  • Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work.
  • Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation.
  • Prior experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous.
  • Experience of leading the mechanical discipline on a project.
