The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Navigation Lab Electrical Engineer - Flight Sim Labs-Level 2 to join the Flight Simulations Hardware Interface Systems: Iron Bird Nav Lab Antenna Systems Team located in St. Louis, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The engineer in this position will support the design, build, and testing of RF systems and navigation systems. The position will support all defense programs at the site in addition to occasional support of programs at other sites.

In this position the engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining 3D models, requirements, test procedures, 2D Drawings of test setups and system configurations. Additionally, in this position the engineer will also support the build of these benches as well as antenna installations on roof top antenna systems. Furthermore, the engineer in this position will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the roof top antenna systems themselves.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 1+ years of experience with electronics design in one or more of the following: Electrical Power Systems (EPS), and/or Command & Data Handling (C&DH), and/or Radio Frequency (RF), and/or Guidance, Navigation and Controls (GN&C)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience with GPS

  • Experience with Inertial Navigation Systems

  • Previous experience working in a lab environment

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $79,900 - $108,100
