About the Role:
Are you a seasoned Materials and Process Engineer with a knack for solving complex engineering challenges? Join our dynamic team in Savannah, GA, where you'll lead pivotal projects, innovate solutions, and drive advancements in aerospace engineering. In this role, you'll handle critical engineering projects, making high-impact decisions and recommendations that shape our engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage high-complexity engineering projects within established scopes.
Make authoritative technical decisions with significant impact on engineering activities.
Apply advanced technical principles and innovative ideas to optimize product, cost, and schedule requirements.
Independently develop improved methods and procedures.
Establish standards and guides for various engineering activities.
Conceive and plan investigations in critical program areas lacking engineering precedents.
Support non-conforming products by evaluating and determining the impact on structural integrity, functionality, and other key factors.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: 13+ years in a specific technical discipline or 15+ years in broader engineering roles with a Bachelor's degree. Advanced degrees can offer additional experience credit.
Skills: Proficient in MRB/Liaison roles, particularly with non-conformances in aerospace components. Experience with various materials (metallic, non-metallic), production schedules, and engineering issues.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD tools (Catia V5), aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, GD&T, and SPC. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with inspectors, technicians, and management.
Preferred: MRB experience with metal bonding, metal forming, and NDT; knowledge of aeronautical materials and general aviation design; experience with customer/supplier interaction.

Pay Details: $81.75 per hour
