Overview

The Process Engineer Intern will gain exposure to internal operations at Stryten Energy through hands-on experience in manufacturing, engineering, processing, and other areas of the company. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week learning opportunity running from May 2025 to August 2025 at our Lancaster, PA facility. Interns are responsible for their transportation to the plant. For those living more than 50 miles away, there may be an option for housing provided by a local university.

Responsibilities

  • Support Injection Molding Process control and capability using scientific molding principles.
  • Assist with molding improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal process parameters.
  • Support process improvement, cost reduction and correction actions teams.
  • Provide technical support for daily processing activities.
  • Assist in the set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of injection molding equipment.
  • Follow all Environmental, health & safety as they apply to the facility & work area.
  • Understand and follow the required safety guidelines such as lockout/tag out use of PPE.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:

  • Graduating between DEC 2025 and May 2027 with relevant coursework in Engineering/ Plastics Processing/ Manufacturing or related field.
  • Working towards BS in Engineering.
  • With a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • You must have transportation.
  • The position is required to work onsite daily.
  • Possibility of housing provided by local university.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Prior plastics injection molding experience preferred.
  • Familiar with all aspects of scientific injection molding process.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database softwares.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Travel, other requirements:

Minimal if any travel.
