Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical sub-systems and components to fulfill project requirements.
- Write detailed design specifications, and develop test plans and specifications for evaluating electrical components and sub-systems (e.g., motors, transformers, contactors, drives, relays, switches, heaters, and sensors).
- Set up and define test specifications for electrical and electronic controls.
- Collaborate with suppliers and in-house colleagues on the development of sub-systems and components.
- Ensure sub-systems and components are designed to meet marketing specifications and regulatory standards, considering the full system design.
- Provide production support as needed, addressing quality issues (QIs), continuous improvements (CIs), and problem-solving.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to apply logical or scientific principles to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and equipment.
- Experience with software programs in assembly, C, or higher-level languages for microcontroller-based electronic controls.
- Competence in writing technical reports and completing documentation within required timeframes.
- Ability to function calmly in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with an understanding of larger project goals and outcomes.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
- Willingness and ability to learn motor controls.
