The Process Engineer Trainee role is based in Pavilion, NY.

As a Process Engineer Trainee you will gain hands on experience in operations across the region while learning all aspects of our business. This is achieved through the delivery of a development program combined with critical experiences and projects that are important to our business. The successful candidate will be immersed in a program designed to provide exposure, training, and hands-on experience in all aspects of the aggregates business including production, sales, maintenance, supervision, quality control and logistics.

What you will get to do:

Participate fully and actively in all assigned development activities

Apply knowledge and work collaboratively on various team projects related to training and development

Support the aggregate and asphalt division in achieving production goals through partnering with experienced professionals and managers in different departments (safety, operations, human resources, environment, maintenance, quality control)

Work within our quarry operations and production

Participate in daily and weekly production and maintenance meetings

Learn basic supervisory skills by working side by side with experienced supervisors

Responsible for reporting and tracking key performance indicators

What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field

Must have a strong desire to work in a mining and industrial environment

Prior manufacturing or mining experience is a plus

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to be a self-starter and take initiative

Ability to adapt to change and respond well under pressure

Solid interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment

Looking for a well-rounded individual with strong character

Willingness to travel and/or relocate for future assignments
