Intermediate Mechanical Engineer School Condition Assessments
Firm Description:
Our client has joined forces with the New York City Department of Education and the NYC School Construction Authority since 1997. This client is an established A/E firm primarily concentrating on infrastructure and building services. The scope of this project is to prepare Building Condition Assessment Surveys for the Department of Education's building inventory throughout Brooklyn and Queens.
Job Description:
Mechanical Engineers prepare visual inspections of boilers, furnaces, plumbing, HVAC and fire protection equipment in all school facilities.
Required:
5 years of experience or more
Must be available for an in-person interview three weeks prior to training.
Must have a government issued photo ID.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Legally qualified to work in the US.
Ability to work in Brooklyn or Queens by 8:00 AM
Basic computer knowledge
Possess a cell phone.
Ability to commit to an 8-month assignment without a vacation.
Ability to work cooperatively with a four-person team.
Submit to a criminal background check.
Produce the required level of detail and able to submit consistent quality work.
Education:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
Compensation:
Paid by the hour,
Over 40 hours-Time and a half.
