Job Description

AECOM is looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer with an electrical engineering or instrumentation & controls background to work on various planning, design, and construction projects for AECOM and the Orange County Sanitation District (OC SAN). This will be a hybrid role based part-time at AECOM's Orange County office and OC SAN Headquarters in Fountain Valley, California.

The individual in this position must have a proven ability to execute water/wastewater engineering projects, encourage a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other engineering disciplines, and identify problems, analyze information, and develop sound recommendations. This individual will act as a Project Manager and Project Engineer/technical lead, interfacing with AECOM and OC SAN design and construction teams, as well as Operations and Maintenance departments. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Familiarity with OC SAN procedures is highly desirable but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

Serves as Project Manager and/or lead engineer on small- to mid-size projects.

Coordinates multi-discipline design effort.

Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.

Presents complex technical solutions to clients.

Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.

Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on small to medium-sized projects.
