Job Description:

NESCO RESOURCE IS HIRING FOR A MECHANICAL ENGINEER IN ESTILL, SC.

Essential Functions:

Performs research, design and development of new and sustaining products, tool design, manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.

Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.

Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.

Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.

Responsible for providing creative and innovative engineering solutions that aid in the resolution of field and manufacturing problems and in the maintenance and improvement of existing products.

Responsible for implementing all phases of project plans and monitoring progress per established schedule and budget targets

Responsible for maintaining good relationships with customers, field personnel and other Valmont departments to ensure the most efficient working environment

Provide technical support to other departments as required toward meeting the needs of our customers

Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.

Represents engineering on cross-functional teams.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 3 -5 years of relevant experience

Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines

A strong working knowledge of Auto Cad and/or Solidworks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Word

Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills

The ability to mentor and lead others

Ability to identify, communicate and participate in process improvement opportunities (LEAN) aimed at reducing cost, improving efficiencies and increasing customer satisfaction

Experience with composites

Experience with GD&T, material specification, surface finishing requirements and manufacturing techniques (milling, turning, welding, surface treatments)

Previous work experience managing projects
