Job Description:

Title: Electrical Engineer II

Location: Poway, CA

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities :

Participates in all phases of engineering projects, including design, testing, system integration, support, and documentation of electronics/electrical systems for semiconductor test handlers.

Create assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and wiring diagrams.

Make modifications to fabricated parts from redlined drawings or verbal instruction.

Generate ECO (Engineering Change Requests) and BOM's.

Research for the substitutions for the obsolete parts.

Participate in design and troubleshooting of electronic boards and/or wiring.

Supervisory Responsibility : May provide limited work leadership and training to lower level technical employees.

Eucation/Training: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Minimum of four years' experience with a bachelor's degree, or minimum of two years with a master's degree.

Basic Skills/Technical Requirements:

Two years of experience with Altium Designer required.

Experience with drafting and revising electro-mechanical drawings in DrawSight and/or SolidWorks required.

Ability to learn new engineering software programs such as Zuken E3 quickly to gain proficiency.

Ability and desire to work with/support a large number of detailed drawings as needed for significant/large projects under development.

Ability to understand electronic schematics and datasheets for motor drives, motors, sensors, and electronic components.

Basic knowledge of lab equipment (oscilloscopes, generators, power supplies, etc.) and ability to perform some testing and troubleshooting.

Microsoft office.

Desirable skills (not strictly required):

Experience in creating detailed cable drawings.

Experience with Zuken E3 is a plus, but not necessary.

Some more advanced troubleshooting knowledge/experience.

An ability to read and understand technical standards.

Familiarity with embedded hardware (microcontrollers, FPGAs, etc.), and embedded software/firmware

Experience in designing PCBs.

Job Conditions/Physical Demands : Domestic or international travel may be required. Prolonged sitting at a computer terminal.
