Summary:
A consumer electronics mechanical engineer is able to, in collaboration with diverse subject matter experts, research and formulate the design of mechanical products.
They can also develop, implement, and maintain appropriate systems and processes for manufacture, failure analysis, and repair of these designs.
A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings with statistically informed tolerances, and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities/ Typical Day in the Role:
Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, machines and other mechanical devices for consumer electronics.
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
Build mock ups and prototypes and expected to deliver detail documentations of such work.
Investigate possible failures from prototype, FA analysis, determine root cause, and make recommendation/correct the failure point.
Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field.
Experience with mechanism design for small consumer electronics and/or surfacing experience is preferred
Proficient in Siemens NX CAD package is a required
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
Experience in Consumer Electronics (CE).
Experience as a PDE (Product Design Engineer)
Proficient in Siemens NX CAD package
