Currently looking for a Senior Engineer who is highly proficient in mechanical and plumbing design and who will lead the engineering effort for our important projects. The candidate is responsible for managing projects, interfacing with clients, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead engineer for assigned projects as the Engineer-of-Record
Manage schedules, budgets, and day-to-day communication for the projects
Communicate with the design team, account managers, estimators, construction team, and client
Prepare detailed and accurate fee proposals and engineering budgets
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for other divisions of the Company
Write technical reports and engineering studies including condition assessments and energy studies
Site surveying and troubleshooting building systems
Size, select, and specify appropriate equipment and materials for the projects
Create permit and construction documents that are accurate, complete, and code compliant
Coordinate scopes of work with sub-contractors and other trade partners
Actively participate in construction administration activities (e.g. submittal review, RFI responses, punchlists, and attendance at construction meetings
Technical Requirements:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Expert knowledge of building codes and standards
Expert knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, controls, and process/industrial systems.
Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based document control and collaborative software
(e.g. MS Teams, Autodesk Build, Autodesk BIM 360, SharePoint, etc.)
Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and leadership skills
Proactively manages the project schedule and deliverables to meet project deadlines
Strong client focus with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Physical Requirements:
Regular travel to project sites and occasional out of state travel
Exposure to outdoors and construction sites
Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders
