Our Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for our Practice in Menlo Park, CA. In this role you will work as part of a team to conduct materials, metallurgical, and mechanical failure investigations, field inspections, and perform materials characterization and specialized testing.

You will be responsible for:
Conducting hands-on failure analyses

Materials characterization, metallurgical analysis

Planning, coordinating, and executing laboratory testing

Conducting field inspections

Effective presentation of results to technical and non-technical clients and staff

You will have the following skills and qualifications:
Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and a familiarity with Mechanical Engineering

Strong background in materials characterization techniques (e.g. metallography, SEM, EDS, FIB, and/or X-ray radiography/diffraction, etc.) is required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute to the team

Knowledge of failure analysis desired
