Develop and maintain the medium-term design and schedule, and effectively manage and de-risk the mining operations against adverse mine designs and schedule conditions. Specifically, plan and manage all capex designs and scheduling for the mine to ensure physicals are achieved in line with budget.

Operational ResponsibilitiesPrepare and deliver 3-month and rolling 12 month forecast in line with the Life-of-Mine and enable the business to meet its objectives in terms of production and cost.

Prepare and present designs and have approved through appropriate approval channels, ensuring inline with LOM and 3 month schedule.

Mentor and provide feedback and assistance to Drill and Blast designs.

Assist in managing scheduling systems for all activities required to effectively execute the mine plan.

Identifies possible upcoming schedule risks and sensitivities within area of control and initiate control measure to mitigate effects on overall mine schedule.

Actively look for opportunities to accelerate works/implement cost savings to provide schedule opportunities in area of control.

Prepare month end reports including spatial and mine plan attainment and communicate to all relevant stakeholders.

Ensure all works under area of control are completed to a standard that is fit for purpose and meets the end users' requirements.

Maintain a productive culture through effective team building.

Monitor Junior team members in their performance and guide their activities as necessary to ensure requirements are achieved.

Promoting safety awareness and environmental responsibility amongst company and contract personnel.

Report all personal injuries and incidents and assisting with investigations.

Actively supporting and participate in safety and environmental initiatives.

Accepting accountability to ensure personal safety and the safety of others whilst protecting the environment.

Monitor the reporting of workplace incidents and hazards to ensure effective risk mitigation is maintained.

Undertake workplace inspections and audits to ensure site standards are being adhered to.

Support incident investigations that occur within area of control.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.

Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.

Must be able to climb 25' vertical ladder sections unaided.

Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.

Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
