Job Description:

Apple is looking for a world-class Senior Panel Process and Optics Engineer with wafer process and integration experience and optical device knowledge to join the PPO Platform Technology Team. This position requires a strong technical background in a relevant technical field, such as semiconductor process, design and fabrication, optical device characterization, yield improvement, etc. Especially, a candidate with years of hands-on process development/optical device integration experience & rich optical knowledge is preferred. Candidate with MP quality control experience is a plus. A successful candidate will work as part of a big team. Therefore, excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.

Description

As the Senior Panel Process Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include leading the process development for new concepts and advanced technology related to wafer processing stack-up design, process flow optimization, materials development, and optical device characterization for next-generation display technology. You will closely collaborate with design, module, testing, failure analysis, manufacturing teams, and various vendors/foundries. Your role will involve bringing new design concepts to reality and conducting experiments aimed at developing innovative processes, metrology, or equipment. Additionally, you will be involved in optimizing and improving existing device design, processes, metrology, and materials to enhance performance, reliability, and reduce costs. This position will involve frequent international travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience in the appropriate engineering fields, e.g. Material Science and/or Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemistry
  • Semiconductor process experience; Process/device integration experience; MP quality control experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of process/device integration
  • Knowledge of Optical metrology/ optical device
  • Experience working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers
  • A working understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes
  • Experience in optical device characterization and FA

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
