Description: Primary purpose is to provide technical expertise at the corporate level to support the design, implementation, and support of bearing manufacturing processes. Project work will serve both new and existing Timken facilities around the world. Specific duties for this position include: Provide design guidance and technical specification for system integration. (20%); Develop and implement investment proposals to support Timken's business initiatives. (10%); Utilize project management tools for key departmental projects. (5%); Specify and select technology for new processes or equipment upgrades, guide system development/ installation and deliver total process documentation to the plants. (35%); Work with manufacturing plant to identify opportunities and provide recommendations related to manufacturing processes to increase throughput, improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance safety. (10%); Develop deployment plans for newly developed processes in conjunction with Advances Technology teams and Manufacturing. (20%). Requirements: Master's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or similar field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in an R&D Manufacturing Engineer or similar position. Experience must include SPC tools and Manufacturing Process Engineering.
