Based in Boston, they specialize in designing and developing state-of-the-art autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) that enable groundbreaking research and operational capabilities beneath the waves. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for their autonomous underwater vehicles.
Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably with a focus on robotics or underwater systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or CATIA), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and other engineering tools.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and engineering mechanics, particularly in the context of underwater applications.
- Experience with mechanical testing and validation techniques, including environmental and fatigue testing.
