About the job:

Sr. Electrical Engineer
The Sr. Electrical Engineer will lead and support the detail design, testing, and development of electromechanical mechanisms/components and systems as used on commercial and military aviation equipment. The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for executing electrical designs and providing the technical expertise to various cross-functional team members (such as quality, production, and purchasing).

Essential Functions:

  • Design complex aircraft electronic hardware and software to fulfill requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review/analyze customer and system requirements to develop the architecture and specifications for various electro-mechanical products.
  • Design leader of the technical team in regards to electronics design, including analog/digital, power circuits/circuit design, and parts selections (EBOM).
  • Based on requirements, create test plans at the PCBA and final assembly level for production validation and readiness.
  • Review, analyze, interpret, and lead the technical and administrative requirements contained in requests for information (RFI) and/or requests for proposal (RFP) to prepare material used in the preparation of formal responses.
  • Provide technical leadership on engineering projects to include mentoring and supervision of less experienced team members.
  • Work with cross-functional team members to identify and mitigate development risks and produce development plans.
  • Integrate new technology, techniques, and concepts to enhance functionality, simplify designs, improve reliability, and reduce production costs.
  • Support and/or interface directly with the customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide sustaining support on existing products and work closely with the cross-functional team members and customers on resolving technical issues and concerns.

Requirements:
  • BSEE degree required
  • 10+ years electrical design experience
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience in programming embedded systems in C and/or assembly language
  • Ability to interface well with customers and cross-functional team members
  • Experience in ORCAD, Altium or similar design capture program
  • PCB layout experience is a plus
  • Aerospace design and certification experience is a plus
  • Experience in DO-160/MIL-STD-810 is a plus


Education and Experience:
BSEE degree required. 10+ years electrical design experience. Aerospace design and certification experience a plus.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
