Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Senior Engineer or Geologist. NOREAS, Inc. has immediate openings for a Senior Engineer/Geologist ranging from 10 to 20 years' experience in the environmental investigation and remediation industry. The full-time position will be based at either our Irvine or San Diego, California offices, and will require some travel.

Requirements and Key Responsibilities for Senior-Level (10 to 20 years of experience) position include:

  1. US citizen or Permanent Resident.
  2. BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology or a closely related field from an accredited university. MS degree is a plus.
  3. California PE or PG required.
  4. Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat (or similar).
  5. Recent experience with California environmental practice and strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations. Familiarity with federal CERCLA and RCRA programs. Demonstrated experience with California (local and state) regulatory agency interactions.
  6. Experience working on Federal/Department of Defense contracts is preferred.
  7. Capable of managing complex investigation and remediation projects and effectively supervising team(s) of multi-disciplinary scientists and engineers.
  8. Occasional travel and field work, up to approximately 10-20%, dependent on experience and project needs.
  9. Commitment to supporting a safe work environment.
  10. Strong writing and analytical skills for preparation and review of work plans and reports (investigation, remediation design, feasibility studies, etc.).
  11. Experience preparing detailed cost proposals and cost estimates.
  12. Business development experience is an advantage.

Salary range: $110,000 - $145,000
