We are seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer with a background in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environments to work on hydrotreating projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, optimizing, and supporting hydrotreating processes for the refining and petrochemical industries. This role will focus on delivering technical solutions throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead process engineering activities for hydrotreating projects, including designing process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and heat and material balances.
- Develop process simulations and models to optimize hydrotreating unit performance, focusing on feedstock flexibility, catalyst selection, and hydrogen management.
- Ensure process designs comply with industry standards and client specifications for safety, environmental impact, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls) during the design and engineering phases of hydrotreating projects.
- Provide technical input during procurement and construction phases, ensuring the selected equipment and materials meet process requirements and project specifications.
- Recommend improvements to existing processes, including the introduction of new technologies or the enhancement of current operations.
- Ensure all process engineering work complies with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate process-related risks.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in process engineering within an EPC environment, ideally in hydrotreating or refining projects.
- Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (API, ASME).
- Experience working on large-scale capital projects, from front-end engineering design (FEED) through execution and commissioning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Certification in project management (PMP) or similar qualifications.
