EM2 - Engineer, Mechanical, LPD DESIGN, ENGR, AND TECH SUPT/AUX SEM Support Description:


Works with various, complex HM&E systems in support of the Government HM&E Manager and Support Manager. Concentration may include Knowledge in the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) standards as well as Navy's Standards and requirements. Specific focus areas of proficiency in: Auxiliary's system and Deck Systems. Previous HM&E, Merchant Marine, or Navy experience is highly desirable and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Marine or Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture is required.


Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering
  2. 10 years professional experience in Marine Engineering or relevant equivalent experience
  3. Experience with applicable codes and standards (ABS, NVR, NFPA, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering
  2. Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
  3. 5+ years DoD/Navy program management, Government, or Industry technical management
  4. 3 years experience with ship Auxiliary or Deck systems
