Nesco Resource is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in Sabina Oh.
Our client is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer that is passionate about designing innovative machinery that drives efficient, high-quality production. Someone that thrives in environments where your technical expertise and creativity can shape the future of manufacturing.

We're looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to support our engineering, maintenance and production teams. In this pivotal role, you will drive improvements, develop new methods, and ensure the seamless operation of our production equipment. What You'll Do:

  • Design & Innovate (65%): Lead the design, build, and setup of custom machinery and jigs that optimize mass production processes. Use 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) to ensure equipment designs enhance efficiency, quality, and cycle times.

  • Research & Development (20%): Investigate new production methods and create innovative solutions that keep us at the forefront of manufacturing technology.

  • Support & Optimize (10%): Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and train staff on new equipment, ensuring we meet our production goals.

  • Continuous Improvement (5%): Implement and modify designs to keep equipment up-to-date while driving innovation for new production models.



What You'll Bring:

  • Experience & Expertise: A minimum of 5 years in designing machinery and tooling for mass production environments, with a keen understanding of the fast-paced production floor.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo or Solid Works preferred), Microsoft Office, and basic computer hardware. Familiarity with electrical circuit and pneumatic drawings is a plus.

  • Leadership: The ability to mentor and guide your team, helping prioritize projects and ensuring deadlines are met.



Your Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Hands-On Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing machinery in a mass production environment.

  • Problem-Solving Attitude: A proactive mindset focused on innovation and streamlining processes, with a willingness to tackle production challenges head-on.
