Our client, a leading petrochemical company, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be part of the Process Engineering Department supporting production and business teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities that align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: Senior Process Engineer
Location: Port Neches, TX
Pay Range: $80.00-100.00 per hour
What's the Job?
- Collaborate with production engineers to improve the profitability of operating units
- Conduct process scope development for capital projects and review technical feasibility
- Lead incident investigations to enhance plant safety and eliminate environmental releases
- Drive process improvements that optimize production, reduce costs, and increase energy efficiency
- Provide technical support for operations and maintenance, including troubleshooting and process simulation.
What's Needed?
- BS in Chemical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in a petrochemical or refining environment
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Strong analytical thinking with proven experience in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams
- Knowledge of MS Excel, including VBA, and experience in Six Sigma/Green Belt initiatives
