The primary responsibility for this position is to work with our mechanical engineering team in developing new solutions and supporting existing test solutions at the Wilsonville, OR site. This position will heavily utilize development and debug skills for the development of mechanical interfaces and components used on multi-rack automated test stations.
Responsibilities:
Developing designs, documentation modification, production support
Contribute to the success of a cross-functional team to develop solutions to production and field testing problems. This could include initial design, prototyping, and environment testing solutions.
Develop and review product designs and analyze development and design requirements
Design of test fixtures, cables, interconnects and associated documentation
Perform tolerance analysis
Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management and customers
Plan and manage tasks effectively
Specific tasks include enclosure structural design, thermal, vibration, other environmental considerations, design verification, prototype build and production transition to the factory.
Perform assignments requiring the use and application of moderate to complex mechanical engineering principles and techniques.
Skills Required:
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to excel in a team environment where the individual will interact with various engineering teams comprised of other mechanical engineers, mechanical drafters, electrical engineers, software engineers and system engineers.
Must have excellent working knowledge with Solidworks,
Must have excellent working knowledge with NX Designer
Must have excellent working knowledge with 3D printing
Must have excellent working knowledge with AutoCAD, or similar design tools.
Must have experience working in production
Must be capable of performing mechanical design and analysis to meet system requirements.
Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
